Congratulations to Little River's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Candace Dymond.
She is pictured with Mr. Tom Seckler, Principal of Little River Elementary School, and Dr. Carl Harris, Superintendent of Durham Public Schools. Dr. Harris presented
her with the "Superintendent's Making A Difference Award."
Dr. Carl Harris also stopped by to see Mrs. Nancy Hodges.
Congratulations are in order as she was selected the Teacher Assistant of the Year
for Durham Public Schools.
Little River Elementary School is located at 2315 Snow Hill Road, Durham, NC 27712. We are located in Northern Durham County next door to Durham Technical Community College (North Campus). We serve 560 students in grades K-5 and follow the traditional school calendar.

On the 2006-2007 North Carolina End of Grade Tests (EOG), the students at Little River had an 80.1% passing rate. This is the second year in a row Little River was honored as a School of Distinction and our students made Expected Growth. |
